1st Annual Jupiter Music Festival Saturday hosted by JTAA, June 5th at Roger Dean Stadium. in Jupiter, Florida. Mark your calendars for a fun filled day with of bands, beer, and baseball with family & friends. The festival will kick off at noon with seven bands playing throughout the day along with a kids sports carnival until 8pm. The baseball game starts at 7pm with fireworks following. Tickets will go on sale in May. Proceeds from this event will benefit the JTAA Scholarship Fund allowing underprivileged children to play youth sports |

Press Release - Jupiter Music Festival at Roger Dean Stadium Scheduled for June 5th
Jupiter, FL (April 28, 2010): The Jupiter Tequesta Athletic Association (JTAA) announced today that it will host the first annual Jupiter Music Festival at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter on June 5th, 2010. The festival will kick off at noon with seven top local area bands playing throughout the day on two separate band stages in the Roger Dean Stadium concourse. The event will also feature a “Kids Sports Carnival” (bounce houses, petting zoo, face-painting, etc.) followed by a minor league baseball game that starts at 7:05pm. The event will end with a full fireworks display over the stadium.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the JTAA Scholarship Fund.
“Our hope is to raise more than $25,000 from the Jupiter Music Festival to fund the scholarships which provides underprivileged youth in our community the ability to continue participating in youth sports year round”, commented Troy Holloway, the JTAA Executive Board President. “We are grateful for our lead sponsors, the Jupiter Courier and Roger Dean Stadium, which have allowed us to offer high quality musical performances along with a range of fun filled family oriented activities in and around the stadium,“ Ray Johnson, the JMF Steering Committee Chairman, went on to comment.
Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster at $8 for kids under 8, $12 for adults in advance, and $16 on the day of the event. VIP tickets will also be available for $40 and include complimentary food & drinks in a climate controlled comfort deck overlooking the Roger Dean field and adjacent to the band stage. The Jupiter Tequesta Athletic Association was founded in 1967 to provide our local youth with opportunities to engage in a range of organized sport activities. JTAA offers girls and boys youth sports programs in 12 sports, including Basketball, Lacrosse, Softball, Baseball, Roller Hockey, Tennis, Volleyball, Tackle Football, Cheerleading, Flag Football, Soccer, & Rugby.

** Flaming Lips Cancels Performance at SunFest
Wed, Apr 28, 2010 - Due to unforeseen circumstances SunFest is announcing a last minute schedule change. The Flaming Lips have withdrawn from the festival.
We regret any inconvenience that this may cause. The performance of any band is in the hands of the artists, not the festival. As a result, our longstanding policy is that the schedule is subject to change and no refunds will be given for festival tickets. Festival tickets are good for any one day of the five days. SunFest has been informed that the cancellation is due to due to the hospitalization of Steven Drozd and therefore extends wishes for a speedy recovery.
