THE DIRTY HEADS were called one of Rolling Stone's “Best New Bands of 2010.”  Their debut single, “Lay Me Down,” spent 11 weeks at #1 on Billboard’s “Alternative Songs” chart, holding the record for the longest reign at #1 for an indie label and remained in the chart’s history.  It remained in the Top 12 for another 39 weeks after that.  And the song has been heard over 250,000 times on radio stations across the U.S.  THE DIRTY HEADS has been heard in numerous TV shows and movies including “Horrible Bosses,” “Surf’s Up,” “Shark,” Surfer Dude,” “Blue Crush 2” and “Rob Drydeck’s ‘Fantasy Factory.’”  They’ve also been featured in “The SIMS” and “Tap Tap Revenge” video games.  Since the release on the Executive Music Group label via Fontana/Universal, their debut album, ANY PORT IN A STORM, has sold nearly 200,000 copies nationwide.  Produced by Steve Fox and Stan Frazier, and mixed by Beastie Boys’ producer Mario C., the album features one of the last recorded performances by legendary Beatles collaborator Billy Preston.
