Egypt Central Invades Football Stadiums Nationwide with Hot New Single "Kick Ass" Now Available as "Kick Off!"
September 2, 2011. On the brink of debuting Egypt Central's NFL blockbuster song "Kick Off," which hit stores and stadiums this month, OFC met with EC's front man John Falls in Orlando for interview! Cranked up after an epic performance, John speaks about the new album WHITE RABBIT and the stellar success of "Kick Ass" / "Kick Off" in NFL stadiums.
While imparting his philosophies on the music industry, Falls says "We're the type of band that we focus on giving you a record that you don't have to skip a track. It's an album and it's worth buying." John goes deeper into an intriguing dialog about the digital age of music and the message behind Egypt Central. September 15, 2011 -- “Kick Ass,” the latest single by EGYPT CENTRAL--John Falls (vocals), Joey Chicago (bass), Blake Allison (drums) and Jeff James (guitar)—is doing just that at radio stations across the country, making it the #1 Most Added song on the BDS chart and #2 Most Added song on the Mediabase chart at Active Rock radio. The song is from the Memphis band’s critically acclaimed WHITE RABBIT Fat Lady Music/ILG album, which debuted on SoundScan’s “Current Hard Music Albums” chart at #5 and at #78 on Billboard’s “Top 200 Albums” chart.
Meanwhile, fans attending home games for the Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys will be able to hear “The Gridiron Mix” version of “Kick Ass,” fittingly titled “Kick Off,” as part of the team’s in-stadium music programs. With lyrics such as: “Now is the moment/I waited for/I can't be broken/I'll settle the score,” it’s only fitting that a team such as the Baltimore Ravens picked “Kick Off” to be their official kick-off song this season, and they’ve created a video which can be seen on their official website. The Ravens also invited the band to perform at their annual “Countdown To Kick Off” party held in Baltimore last week, where the band performed in front of hundreds of fans along with Chevelle, Hinder and Pop Evil.

“Kick Ass” has quickly racked up more than 30 adds at stations and syndicated radio outlets, even before its official September 13 release date. Early supporters include WIYY (Baltimore), WIIL (Chicago), WAXQ (Syracuse), WJRR (Orlando), SiriusXM’s “Octane,” WJJO (Madison), and many others. It’s already looking at a strong debut on the Active Rock charts next week.
Known as one of the Active Rock scene’s most explosive live acts, EGYPT CENTRAL continues to tour all over the U.S. as they confirm new dates with Pop Evil, Hinder and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. As noted in a recent Hardrockhaven.net review: “From the moment that John Falls and Egypt Central hit the stage, the band commanded attention.” And Musictourreviews.com agreed: “…they always bring their A game and I have never seen a bad show from them.”
