Signature EC guitar solos surface throughout the album. CLAPTON is an album to listen to in its entirety with riveting, smokin' blues tracks. Highlights include "Hard Times Blues" featuring a rare performance of Eric playing mandolin, "Can't Hold out Much Longer" and bonus tracks "I Was Fooled" and "Take a Little Walk with Me."
The album delves into sultry, jazzy J.J. Cale's "Everything Will Be Alright" with the rich bass, strings, brass and keyboards accompanying a fantastic Wes Montgomery style guitar solo - a jazz fan's delight! J.J. Cale's entrancing "River Runs Deep" is another surprise departure from Mr. Clapton's standards.
