THE EXPENDABLES are currently supporting PROVE IT, their fifth full-length album (released May 11, 2010 via Stoopid Records), which debuted at #4 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart, #30 on the Independent Chart and #158 on Billboard’s Top 200 Chart. The album also reached #15 on iTunes Top 200 and #5 on iTunes Alternative Charts. Produced by Butthole Surfer guitarist Paul Leary (Meat Puppets, Sublime) and NOFX’s El Hefe, PROVE IT features 17 tracks including the single “How Many Times” and “Corporate Cafeteria” as heard on SiriusXM Radio’s The Faction. The album also features a guest appearance by long-time friend G. Love on the track “Wells” as well as appearances by various members of Slightly Stoopid throughout the album.
Since 1997, the quartet have staked their claim in the California inspired surf/rock genre with a sound all their own that blends reggae, punk rock, metal and 80s-style dueling guitar solos. In 2007, after years of putting out numerous albums on their own, the band signed with Stoopid Records, a new independent label formed by Slightly Stoopid, as the label’s first non-Stoopid release. Their first release on the new label, the self-titled THE EXPENDABLES, became an instant classic by fans and received critical praise. The band have since shared the stage with artists like NOFX, Slightly Stoopid, Pennywise, Pepper and 311 among many others.
