October 9, 2011 LONDON -- Wedding bells are ringing for a third time for Paul McCartney as London is preparing for his much anticipated marriage to American heiress Nancy Shevell! A surprise tent has been set up adjacent to Sir Paul's house as the wedding planners are embellishing it with decorations for the nuptial affair. Paul's publicist has not made a formal announcement about the wedding but according to Associated Press Shevell's wedding gown is a custom Stella McCartney creation. The celebrated fashion designer Stella is daughter of Paul and his first, late wife Linda. Paul's brother Mike is anticipated to be best man and his youngest daughter Beatrice, whose mother is McCartney's estranged second wife Heather Mills, will grace the ceremony as flower girl.
No news yet whether the wedding officiants will include a Rabbi as Ms. Shevell is Jewish; the wedding falls on the day after Yom Kippur. This is Shevell's second marriage, she was previously married for more than 20 years to attorney Bruce Blakeman. The bride has prestigious credentials in the business world, she serves on the board of New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority and is a vice president of a New Jersey-based trucking company owned by her father.
Paul McCartney has always been dedicated to monogamy beginning with his first marriage to Linda Eastman. Linda longtime wife, soul mate and mother of Paul's first four children tragically passed away after her struggle with cancer in 1998. Linda was an integral part of McCartney's band Wings and a muse to his solo musical career. Paul's second marriage to Heather Mills ended in much bitter dissent between the two both publicly and privately.
The eternally young and "cute" Beatle, Paul at the age of 69, continues to tour internationally with a just announced ON THE RUN TOUR, filling stadiums with set lists that last close to three hours and satisfy Beatles and Wings fans. McCartney recently released his latest triumphant album OCEAN'S KINGDOM written for the New York City Ballet!
