Green Day Surprise Los Angeles Fans With Small Club Gig, Debut New Music (Review/Video)

August 7, 2012. Welcome to paradise. Or, rather, for a die-hard Green Day  fan, the 700-person underground venue the Echoplex in Echo Park, CA. A day ago, the Bay Area veteran punk rockers announced a real venue “secret” show (unlike the botched attempt at their Burbank BBQ joint shindig) with tickets selling at 10am Monday morning. August 1, 2012. Cher is pretty excited about the new music she’s been working on.

The icon has been on a tweeting frenzy, giving a few details about her upcoming album, her first in 11 years, which she revealed would be out during the holiday season.

She also tweeted that she’s been working with Pink, who wrote two songs for the new album that Cher’s record label loved.  “Pink is definitely my girl,” she wrote. “She’s talent! Luv it.” Read the full story on CBS Local.

August 1, 2012. PSAs against texting while driving may soon get a new spokesperson: Peter Frampton.

The 62-year-old rocker documented a car accident he was involved in yesterday (July 31) afternoon via his Twitter account. According to Frampton, the driver behind him on Los Angeles’ often-packed 101 Freeway was texting and rammed into his vehicle, which resulted in back and neck injuries for the singer – possibly even whiplash. August 1, 2012. Jason Mraz, Love is a Four Letter Word Jason Mraz is making a video for his song, “The Woman I Love.” But he needs your help.

Mraz is putting out a call for fans to tweet their ideas for his upcoming clip. He wants to know what the song, which is off his most recent album, Love is a Four Letter Word, means to you. The catch is, you only get 140 characters to share your plotline.
